Established in Shanghai in 2014 by industry veteran Johnny Zhao, SQM has become a trusted leader in global procurement for casting and forging. With roots in the foundry industry dating back to 2003, Johnny Zhao built SQM to provide innovative, reliable solutions for industrial manufacturers worldwide.
Over the past decade, SQM has expanded from a small team of two to a thriving organization of 45 professionals. We collaborate with 42 trusted suppliers across China, fostering long-term partnerships that ensure quality and consistency in every project.

2014
SQM was founded in Shanghai, China, and the
owner Johnny started his own business trading
metal parts worldwide.
2018
SQM has set up its own assembly warehouse
to bring more value-added services to
customers.
2021
The turnover of SQM has exceeded RMB 100
million for the first time.
2023
SQM has established its own product
inspection center to ensure high-quality
products for the customers.
2024
SQM has launched a SQM Metal Parts GmbH in
Germany to provide faster and better services
to overseas customers.
